We are committed to equipping God’s
people to open their Bibles and join in
conversation as we learn together what it
means to live in faithful service. We refer
to the Bible as our “Book of Faith” that both
comforts and challenges us, as we live in
relationship with God, with one another,
and with all of creation.

Anyuak Faith Community
We are a Book of Faith congregation. What does this mean? It means
that we have committed ourselves, along with ELCA congregations
throughout the country, to "become more fluent in the first language of
faith, the language of Scripture, in order that we might live into our
calling as people renewed, enlivened, empowered, and sent by the
Word." You are invited to become involved in one or more of these
studies that we might learn and grow together. For more information
about any of these study opportunities, contact Pastor Karen Behling
Splash! is our faith formation program for those from birth to 36
months of age. Bi monthly mailings come directly to you including
parent tips, age-related growth and faith connecting points, music and
age-appropriate books, all designed to nurture faith of our little ones,
and to equip parents as the primary faith teacher in every home. As an
extension of these in-home materials, we also sponsor seasonal Splash
Sunday Events in our beautiful new Atrium area where we participate in
worship first, then as the wiggles come on, we move to the Atrium for
activities that enrich, enhance and encourage the faith connection for
little ones. ALL are welcome and we look forward to meeting you at a
future Splash Sunday event! If your child is birth – 36 months of age
and you'd like to receive our bi-monthly Splash mailings, contact
Marcia Pedersen for more details
Our Savior’s offers Christian Education opportunities on both Sunday
mornings and Wednesday afternoons. There are two sessions of
Sunday School, one at 9:00 and one at 10:30, coinciding with morning
Worship Services. Sunday School features SPARK, our rotational format
for Kindergarten through Grade 6. Each week your child rotates to one
of our six different learning zones, all the while focusing on a central
Bible theme. Our zones include The Art Cafe, The Holy Word Drive-in,
The Play Zone, The Temple, Bible Bytes and Acts of the Apostles. Since
each child learns best in different ways, SPARK is a great way to reach
everyone with unit studies and increased Bible knowledge. Wednesday
School classes are also available for 3 year-olds through Grade 9. With
the growing interest and involvement in Wednesday evening activities,
such as children’s and adult choirs, an awesome Wednesday meal,
Confirmation and Come ’N See Bible Studies, Wednesday School has
grown also! Curriculum used in our Wednesday School programs is
both exciting and thorough, giving you an alternative to Sunday’s
rotational set-up – a more traditional classroom setting.
This program is the heart and soul of youth ministry at Our Savior’s.
Here is where young people begin to look deeply into their faith, their
relationship with God, and their responsibilities as Christian people.
Through a variety of settings, beginning with an awesome week at
Good Earth Village for Confirmation Camp each June, they grow as
Christians. In the fall each Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. students
come together and meet with pastors and mentors who guide them as
they explore the treasures of the faith. Through service projects and
other projects like Adopt-A-grandparent, our confirmands strengthen
the seeds of faith as they work toward their Confirmation Sunday in the
last week of April.
